The alarm is powered by 120VAC coming from standard wall outlets and is transformed to 9-11.1VDC. Installating a 9VDC battery provides battery backup.
When the switch contac "closes" an alarm will occurs, the buzzer will annunciate, alarm LED (red) will illuminate, and the built-in auxiliary contacts will be activated
